The Regional History Museum in Razgrad and “Ludogorski Bratya” Motorcycle Club will open the summer season together with episode II of the “Tradition of Speed” initiative.

Exactly a year and a half ago, museum specialists, bikers from the club, and hundreds of friends of history and fast machines from all over Northeastern Bulgaria were together and had fun on the first and very different day of Razgrad’s cultural program.

The invitation is now for April 5th /Saturday/, the location – the parking lot, open spaces and museum exhibits on the territory of ancient Abritus.

“The idea is for the event to build on our initiative to give a platform for the various clubs and communities in the city to express themselves and together to promote our activities and their good practices among the widest possible circle of people”, says the museum’s director Tanya Todorova.

The event will start at 11:30 a.m. at the parking lot of the “Abritus” Archaeological Reserve, where an impromptu motorcycle exhibition will be set up. Visitors to the festival will be able to view the machines, take pictures, and even ride them.

The water festival for health, an accident-free season for motorcyclists and a strong tourist season for the museum is at 12:30 p.m.

The traditional noisy and colorful tour through the streets of Razgrad of men and women in love with the wind and with gasoline in their blood will start at 1:30 p.m.

At 1:50 p.m., the Fire of Abritus will be lit with a special ritual.

From 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. the participants in the event will taste wine from Abritus according to a 5th century recipe, while dressed in animated Roman clothes.

Those wishing to explore the permanent archaeological exhibition, the Interactive Museum and ancient Abritus will have the opportunity to do so in a group with a tour guide from 2:00 p.m.

The individual audio-guided tour of Abritus begins at 3:30 p.m.

Children will also have their own special place at the festival. On the green areas in the immediate vicinity of the motorcycle exhibition, there will be a trampoline on which they can jump for pleasure, as well as a tent in which they can dress up in Roman clothes, take souvenir photos, and play ancient board games.

Adventure lovers will be able to embark on the game “Abritus Treasure Seekers” in the space in front of the northern fortress wall. The start is at 3:00 p.m.

Entrance for all those wishing to join the second episode of the “Tradition of Speed” initiative will be free: from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
