Stanka and Nikola Ikonomov were Razgrad’s eminent figures from the Bulgarian revival, educators and writers. The home where they lived has always been one of the cultural centers in town. The married couple had a major contribution to the education and enlightening of the locals during the 19th century. The museum is located in “Varosha” Quarter, at 7 “St. Kliment” Str.
The museum’s exposition offers information on the lives and work of the two Bulgarian writers, as well as the history and education in Razgrad. It consists of photos, documents and a reconstruction of Ikonomov’s family everyday life.
