Representatives of the Regional History Museum – Razgrad will participate in the upcoming Archaeology Festival on June 13 in the Sboryanovo Archaeological Reserve. The organizer of the initiative is the History Museum – Isperih, with the assistance of the Helis NGO and with the support of the Isperih Municipality. In addition to the Razgrad History Museum, the Regional History Museum – Targovishte, History Museum – Tutrakan and History Museum – Popovo will also participate in the festival.

Special guests at the festival will be members of the Historical and Antique Reenactment Group “First Italian Legion” and the First Thracian Cohort from the town of Svishtov, who will present reenactments and demonstrations inspired by the life and fighting traditions of the ancient Thracians, reports the Historical Museum – Isperih.

The celebration begins at 10:00 a.m. at the Thracian Royal Tomb. Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, distributed in several thematic zones – Craftsmen’s Quarter, Aristocrats’ Quarter, Military Camp.

Regional History Museum – Razgrad will be presented at the Archaeology Festival by museum pedagogue Hristo Hristov and animator Ibrahim Shaer. They will participate in the historical attractions in the Aristocrats’ Quarter. They will present Roman clothing – tunics and other elements, organize board games from Roman times, and show Roman weapons. The stand will also offer advertising materials for the sites of the Regional History Museum – Razgrad.

The goal of the Archaeology Festival is to promote the rich cultural and historical heritage of the region.
