Specialists from the Regional History Museum participated in the city-wide celebration for May 24 – Day of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture, and of Slavic literature.
After laying a wreath in front of the monument to the students of Cyril and Methodius on the “Vazrazhdane” square, they joined the festive procession of schools and cultural institutes to the other city square – “Momina Cheshma”, where the honorees of the Vipusk 2024 were awarded to the students and the high school students and the winners of the award named after Nikola Ikonomov.
Shortly after, in the lobby of the Municipal Cultural Center, meritorious figures of culture, principals of the year and teachers of the year received their awards.
The award in the category “Culture figure” for Tanya Todorova – director of the Regional History Museum, received instead of her the chief accountant of the cultural institution Dimitar Dimitrov.
Tanya Todorova was absent due to a commitment in the capital – she has a special invitation to be a guest at the cocktail party for prominent figures of education and culture from the country, which is given tonight by President Rumen Radev at the National History Museum.
