The Regional History Museum – Razgrad presents the exhibition “The female ruler of Clay” about the life and work of the talented master of ceramics Eli Nedelcheva at the National Institution – Gotse Delchev University Library – Shtip, Republic of North Macedonia.

The moderator of the exhibition is Prof. Rositsa Angelova PhD, head of the “New and Latest History” department at RHM – Razgrad. The director of the Shtip library Tamer Yamakovski personally attended the opening.

With this exhibition, we give well-deserved recognition to the potter Eli Nedelcheva – an artist from Razgrad, who achieved national and international importance, who left the earthly world shortly before her 50th anniversary, in her most successful and fruitful period”, said Prof. Rositsa Angelova at the opening.

In her words to the audience in the large hall of the “Gotse Delchev” University Library, from the distance of time, the exhibition presents the artist Eli Nedelcheva and is a tribute to the artisan pottery traditions in Ludogorie, combined with the best examples of Bulgarian ceramics, which she had an absolute command of.

“In her native Razgrad, Eli Nedelcheva creates art as an independent and creative artist. Her works are in the most prestigious Bulgarian galleries, there are exhibitions in the country, in France and Turkey. Her ceramics adorn private collections on 4 continents: Europe, Asia, Latin and North America. And now she is receiving well-deserved recognition and respect in the Republic of North Macedonia, in the town of Shtip”, emphasized Prof. Rositsa Angelova.

On her own behalf and on behalf of the Director of the Regional Historical Museum in Razgrad, Tanya Todorova, she thanked the Director of the National Institution – Gotse Delchev University Library, Tamer Yamakovski, the colleagues from Shtip University “Gotse Delchev”, the Director of the NU “Zavod i Museum” – Shtip Maria Miteva and the Shtip community for the opportunity RHM-Razgrad to show the exhibition “The female ruler of Clay”.

At the end of her speech, Prof. Rositsa Angelova said: “I am proud that this event is in harmony with the words of the great Gotse Delchev: “I understand the world only as a field for cultural competition between nations”, as cultural cooperation between the two brotherly peoples – the Bulgarian and Macedonian!”

We remind you that in the Ethnographic Museum in Razgrad, the exhibition for the creator Eli Nedelcheva “The female ruler of Clay” was opened on September 20 as part of the cultural program of the Municipality of Razgrad for this year’s European Heritage Days “Routes, Networks and Connections”.
