Attractive for both young and old: with an outdoor exhibition capturing moments from 2024, a children’s pottery workshop, a coin treasure hunt and a free guided tour of the ancient Abritus, the Regional History Museum closed the active tourist season.
The guests of the museum specialists today were second-graders from “Vasil Levski” elementary school in Razgrad, but sooner before them, the permanent archaeological expedition, the exhibition, the Interactive Museum and the ancient Abritus, students and Dolna Oryahovitsa and members of the Union of Reserve and Reserve Officers in Varna visited.
The girls and boys from Razgrad, divided into two groups, searched the ruins of “Abritus” for a coin treasure and made their own clay vessels, which they took home. Some of the children recognized themselves in photos from the exhibition – as participants in the museum-educational program during the summer vacation “Adventures in Abritus”.
On leaving the museum, they received personal gifts from their hosts and were showered with multicolored confetti.
Until the end of the day, the museum remained open to visitors with a free talk by a tour guide about the life and lifestyle of the Romans who once inhabited the city.
