In the presence of the mayor of Dobrin Dobrev, the departmental deputy mayor Elka Nedelcheva and the head of the Regional Department of Education Angel Petkov, the director of the Regional History Museum Tanya Todorova and the director of FLS “Exarch Yosif” Ivelina Hristova signed a five-year cooperation contract.
The document envisages the implementation of joint educational activities, initiatives and events aimed at the cultural and historical heritage of the Razgrad region and tourism, which also includes practical training of high school students from the specialty “Tour Guide Service” on the territory of the museum sites.
The museum and the high school will have the opportunity to apply together in national and international programs and projects.
“Congratulations on the initiative! For me, the signing of this contract is another step forward in the mission that FLS has undertaken, and the support of Razgrad Municipality in improving the quality of education, providing new forms of training and finding professional fulfillment for those graduating from secondary education.
In the last few years, the Regional History Museum has been extremely open to all educational institutions on the territory of the municipality, and this can be seen in the many initiatives that are implemented. You have our full support to fulfill another item of our management program – expanding interest in the cultural and historical heritage of our region and the development of tourism”, said Mayor Dobrin Dobrev.
“There is something symbolic in the month of spirituality with the support of the Municipality to conclude this contract, which will further develop our initiative to turn the exhibition halls into an educational center for the children of Razgrad. We will assist methodically and with the possibility of student and internship practices. We have already concluded two contracts with higher schools – the University of Shumen and the University of Veliko Tarnovo. We will do our best to attract them to support cooperation between the museum and the Language High School”, shared the director of the museum Tanya Todorova.
