TO ORGANIZE AND CONDUCT A STUDENT COMPETITION
FOR ESSAY, POEM, DRAWING AND MULTIMEDIA PROJECT

dedicated to 145 years of

THE LIBERATION OF RAZGRAD

I.Organizer:
     Regional History Museum – Razgrad

II. General:
    The competition is dedicated to the 145th anniversary of the Liberation of the city of Razgrad /January 28, 1878/.

III. Basic goals:

  • Provoking young people to creative thinking, education in historicism, respect and love for Bulgarian history;
  • Interest in the historical past of the city and the region;
  • To enable learners, through research activity, to present their point of view on the significance of the event and the role of historical figures;
  • Educating teenagers in a spirit of patriotism and inclusion in Bulgarian traditions and values.

IV. Topic:

“Notable persons from Razgrad” /Persons connected with the socio-political, cultural and economic life of the city/

V. Terms of participation:

1. All students from the city and municipality of Razgrad, divided into three age groups, have the right to participate in the competition:

I-IV class; V-VII class; VIII-XII class.

2. Each participant can participate with only one project;

3. Participants must indicate their three names, school, class, address, telephone and e-mail.

VI. Requirements:

Student Essay Competition Rules:

  1. The essay should not exceed 3 printed pages;
  2. Font: Times New Roman, 12pt, Spacing between lines: 1.5;

Evaluation criteria:

  • a clearly and precisely formulated thesis;
  • well-chosen arguments;
  • original and creative approach;
  • elements of research activity;
  • personal position;
  • linguistic and stylistic culture.

Regulations for a student poem competition:

  1. The poem should not be longer than one typewritten page – A4 format;
  2. The poetic works must be on the set topic;

Criteria for evaluating poems:

  • originality;
  • creativity;
  • creative approach to the subject.

Rules of the student drawing competition:

  1. Each participant can use a freely chosen technique: watercolor, tempera paints, pastels, graphics, felt-tip pen, pencil, collage;
  2. The works should not be pasted. On the back of each drawing, the following data must be legibly marked: first name and last name of the author and exact address; school and class; contact phone number and email address.

Criteria for judging drawings:

  • originality;
  • composition;
  • manifested fantasy;
  • combination of colors.

Regulations for a multimedia project competition:

  1. The projects can be presented as a simple slide show in Power Point / from 10 to 20 slides/;
  2. To clearly and specifically reflect the purpose of the topic;
  3. To be aesthetically and technically shaped, according to the thematic direction of the competition.

Criteria for evaluating multimedia projects:

  • originality and aesthetic layout of the presentation;
  • expressing a personal position on the subject;
  • correctness in the use of the various sources /photos, documents, etc./ and their accurate citation.

VII. Deadline for sending the projects:

  1. Until 24.02.2023 sending the projects to the e-mail address: pegas_rz@abv.bg or to the address: 7200 Razgrad, 20 “Venelin” Str., House-Museum “Ananie Yavashov”

  2. Until 27.02. 2023, a jury will determine the best projects.
  3. Until 02.03. 2023, the results will be announced on the website of the REGIONAL HISTORICAL MUSEUM – Razgrad.

VIII. Awards:

  1. Prizes are determined for each age group: separately for essay, poem, drawing and multimedia project.
  2. The awarded students will receive their prizes in the conference hall of the Interactive Museum /AR “Abritus”/.

Submitted works are not returned to participants. They remain the property of RHM – Razgrad. The organizer reserves the right to use, photograph, film, scan, record and distribute the received projects without payment of rights and compensation for this.
