The title of the information day was “The Museum and its role in the search, study, preservation and promotion of the cultural and historical heritage of the Razgrad region.” Through interactive activities, students from different schools got acquainted with the main activities and functions of the museum. They had the unique opportunity to play the roles of archaeologists, restorers, ethnographers, curators, researchers, guides. The director of RIM Tanya Todorova told about the program on the holiday.

The children’s interest did not subside throughout the day. They took an active part in the field research of archeological sites, visited the museum exposition, had fun and received valuable historical information from the museum specialists.

In addition to the Abritus Archaeological Reserve, the students participated in reconstructions of two customs at the Ethnographic Museum. The Museum of Local Lore was established on Museum Day. The Deputy Mayor of Razgrad Municipality Dobrin Dobrev, the Deputy Mayor Ruska Vateva, Victoria Georgieva – Chief Expert in the Education Department in Razgrad Municipality and Tsvetana Benonova – Chief Expert in the Culture, Religious Activities and Youth Activities Department were guests of the establishment. The main goal of the club is together with the museum specialists to search, research, preserve and promote the cultural and historical heritage of the Razgrad region, including archival documents, publications, audiovisual materials, objects related to spiritual life, everyday life, administrative, economic and political. processes and others.

The founders of the club were welcomed by the director of the Regional History Museum Tanya Todorova, who wished fruitful joint work of local historians and museum workers in the interest of deepening and promoting knowledge about the past and present of Razgrad region.

15 are the founders of the club, most of them are long-term researchers of the past of different settlements or the development of the region in a particular field. Among the founders are: Bozhidarka Zlatareva – journalist and local historian; Veselina Milusheva – teacher and local historian; Viktor Kostadinov – curator at the Ananie Yavashov House Museum; Gabriela Mihailova – expert in the State Archives – Razgrad; Gancho Yordanov – teacher and local historian; Dimitar Petrov – Director of the Republic of Bulgaria “Prof. Boyan Penev ”; Lubomir Gerganov – public figure; Mathieu Nedelchev – teacher and local historian; Miroslava Katsarova – public figure and local historian; Rumyana Radenkova – teacher, historian; Siika Stefanova – historian and local historian; Stefan Stefanov – historian and public figure and others.

The establishment of the club was the last event in the program of the Regional History Museum for the International Museum Day. Throughout the day, the museum sites were enlivened by the presence of young people.
