On the occasion of Constitution Day /April 16/ and the 145th anniversary of the beginning of parliamentary life in Bulgaria, the Regional History Museum is preparing an exhibition “Razgrad Legislators /1879-1991/”.

The exhibition presents the history of parliamentarism in our country from its beginning – the Constituent Assembly in 1879, which drew up and adopted the Tarnovo Constitution of the Principality of Bulgaria and ended with the Seventh Great National Assembly, which in 1991 adopted the current Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria, its signatures under which the former mayor of Razgrad Dencho Boyadzhiev and the former chairman of the Municipal Council Stoyan Nenchev were elected as deputies from Razgrad multi-mandate constituency.

The emphasis is on Razgrad constitutionalists in the seven Great National Assemblies so far – their biographies, photos and documents on which they worked as legislators.

The exhibition will be opened at 5:30 p.m. on April 16, 2024 in the “Ananie Yavashov” house-museum.
