RAZGRAD, January 26, 2026 – The exhibition “Batak 1876 – Chronicle of an Immortal Spring”, arranged in the hall of the Ethnographic Museum in Razgrad, has become a center of increased interest on the part of the younger generation in the city. In the past week alone, the exhibition was visited by over 100 students from various local schools.
The traveling exhibition, which is visiting Razgrad, traces the dramatic events of the April Uprising and the sacrifice of the people of Batak. The students had the opportunity to learn about the historical facts through a rich collection of photographs, documents and stories about the heroic spring of 1876. Among the visitors were:
Graduates of the 6th and 7th grades of the “Otets Paisii” Primary School;
Fourth graders from “Hristo Botev” Primary School;
Seventh graders from “Nikola Ikonomov” Primary School;
Mixed group (grades 8-12) from the Student Dormitories in the city.
Museum specialists shared that the children showed a keen interest in the topic, asked questions and were deeply impressed by the strength of spirit shown in some of the most fateful moments for Bulgarian freedom.
