The Director of the Regional History Museum – Razgrad Tanya Todorova was a special guest at the celebration for May 24 – Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture and of Slavic Literature, at the “Hristo Botev” secondary school. She presented the Director of the School, Rositsa Stoyanova, with a bouquet of flowers and presented her with a congratulatory address on her own behalf and on behalf of her colleagues, which said: “On this day, we cannot fail to honor the work of all Bulgarian teachers and lecturers. We express our immense gratitude to all of you for the efforts you make to preserve our national identity. Believe in the eternal Bulgarian values ​​and the power of the word and always strive for even higher achievements.

Happy holiday to you too, dear students! On this unique Bulgarian holiday, I wish you to be able to see through your own eyes the good, the beautiful and the sublime, to appreciate the important lessons you receive at school.”

Specialists from the museum once again participated in the city-wide celebration for May 24. It began on “Vazrazhdane” Square with the laying of wreaths and flowers in front of the monument to the students of Cyril and Methodius. After that, the festive procession of schools and cultural institutes headed to the other city square – “Momina Cheshma”, where the “Golden Pegasus” award was presented and the excellent students of the “Class of 2025” among students and high school students were awarded.

After the concert of young talents from Razgrad schools and ensembles, in the lobby of the Municipal Cultural Center, distinguished cultural figures, directors of the year and teachers of the year received their awards. They were presented by Mayor Dobrin Dobrev.

The distinction in the “Cultural Worker” category was received by Prof. Rositsa Angelova PhD, head of the “New and Recent History” department at the Regional History Museum.

The museum’s director, Tanya Todorova, was absent due to an engagement in the capital – she has a special invitation to be a guest at the cocktail party for prominent figures in education and culture from the country, which President Rumen Radev is giving tonight at the National History Museum.
