On June 2, a city-wide celebration took place in the city park in Razgrad, marking the 150th anniversary of the death of the poet and revolutionary Hristo Botev. Representatives of regional and state institutions, schools, parties, as well as many citizens gathered in front of the monument to the great national hero to celebrate Botev Day and the Day of those who fell for the freedom and independence of Bulgaria.

Representatives of the Regional Historical Museum – Kalina Karbasheva, head of the “Administrative and Economic” department, and Neno Yakimov, curator at the “Ananie Yavashov” house museum, attended the solemn celebration.

At it, students from the “Hristo Botev” Secondary School in Razgrad presented a musical composition with songs based on poems by Hristo Botev. The deep tribute that we pay with the sirens every year in memory of Botev and those who fell for the Freedom and Independence of Bulgaria was also recalled.
Representatives of the Regional History Museum laid flowers in front of the monument to Hristo Botev and bowed to his feat and immortal work.
