In connection with the national celebrations on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the April Uprising (1876), Prof. Rositsa Angelova PhD – Head of the Department of “New and Recent History” at the Regional History Museum – Razgrad, will take part in a round table.

It will be on the topic “150 years since the April Uprising of 1876 – a heroic epic in the history of the Bulgarian people for national liberation.”

The forum brings together researchers, educators and public figures engaged in the preservation and popularization of historical memory of one of the most significant events in Bulgarian history. During the event, Prof. Angelova PhD will present a report on the topic:

“The Unknown Heroines: Women in/for the April Uprising of 1876,” dedicated to the role and contributions of women in the preparation, course, and aftermath of the uprising.

The round table will be held on April 22, 2026 (Wednesday) at 3:30 p.m. at the Military Club in Shumen.
