On April 20, in the “Bulgarian Warrior” hall in the Razgrad Military District, an initiative of the Regional History Museum – Razgrad was implemented on the occasion of 150 years since the outbreak of the April Uprising – educational lectures for students from Razgrad schools.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Regional Administration – Razgrad – Eng. Ognyan Obreshkov – Regional Governor, and the Deputy Regional Governors Virginia Dubeva and Eng. Shefket Shefket.

The initiative aims to increase young people’s interest in the history, defense and role of the Bulgarian Army by combining theoretical knowledge with practical demonstrations.

The lecture entitled “Roads to Freedom and Razgrad”, delivered by museum specialist Viktor Kostadinov, curator at the “Ananie Yavashov” house museum, traced the development of the Bulgarian Army from the time of the April Uprising to the present day. The lecturer’s technical assistant was museum pedagogue Hristo Hristov.

During the training, the students had the opportunity to learn about Bulgarian military equipment and weapons, as well as observe demonstrations presented by Major Plamena Nikolova.
Students from grades 5 through 12 from the “Exarch Joseph” Foreign Language High School, the “Stanka Nikolitsa Spaso-Elenina” Vocational High School of Economics, the “Sándor Petőfi” Vocational High School of Clothing, and the “Acad. Nikola Obreshkov” Profiled High School of Mathematics and Science took part in the lectures and the military training.
