THE INVITATION IS FOR THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF MUSEUMS

The Regional History Museum in Razgrad once again participates in the International Museum Day with a special program for children and adults. On May 18 /Thursday/ they will all be able to personally feel what it is like to be a museum specialist.

From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the territory of the ancient Abritus, visitors will have access to the Interactive Museum and the permanent archaeological exposition of the museum. They will hunt for treasures, take part in the parent-child-enriched illustrated “Play and Learn with us” quiz where they have to discover where in the museum’s outdoor or indoor displays the exhibit in the photo is located, and they can play the role of the hosts – to be tour guides.

With other practical interactive classes, they will also take on the role of museum specialists: archaeologist, restorer and fund custodian.

The time after lunch is for visits to the house museums: in “Stanka and Nikola Ikonomovi” from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. the visitors will be curators; in the Ethnographic Museum – from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. – ethnographers, and from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the house museum “Ananie Yavashov” – researchers of the Yavashov family.

Everywhere, those involved in the initiative will learn details about the history of the Regional History Museum and its role in the search, study, preservation and presentation of the cultural and historical heritage of the Razgrad region.

The special program for the International Day of Museums will end at the “Ananie Yavashov” house. At 5:00 p.m. the exhibition “Daily life of a Bulgarian woman in the 20th century” will be opened there.

RHM – Razgrad reserves the right to change the program in case of bad weather.
