At the invitation of the Regional History Museum in Razgrad, the “Women in Society” exhibition of RHM – Ruse will be hosted in the “Ananie Yavashov” house museum.

With a dozen posters and as many mannequin dolls, with scaled-down copies of costumes from the museum’s collection in the Danube city, the authors: Associate Professor Nikolay Nenov, Desislava Tiholova and Iskra Todorova, illustrate the changes in the lives of Bulgarian women from the end of the 19th century to mid 20th century

The exhibition narrates and shows the fashion trends in urban clothing – weekday dress, maid’s uniform, ball gown, evening dress, prom dresses, dresses from the latest fashion trends of that time, which reflect not only the dynamic influence of European culture in Bulgarian society, but they are also one of the factors giving women the opportunity for a new type of realization and expression, different from the social roles of wives, housewives and mothers.

The opening is on February 8 (Thursday) at 4:30 p.m.
