Around what is written in the title of this text, today everyone – both organizers, participants and guests of the first joint initiative between the Municipality of Razgrad, the Regional History Museum and the “Ludogorski Brothers” Motorcycle Club – is united that another good and different thing is starting in the cultural calendar of Razgrad.
With “Tradition of Speed” we will build on what we started some time ago to give a platform for the various clubs and communities in the city with the idea that our activity and their good practices will become available to a wide range of people”, explained the director of the museum Tanya Todorova.
Even before noon, hundreds of motorcyclists from all over North-Eastern Bulgaria gathered at the parking lot of the museum on the territory of the ancient Abritus. True to their traditions, they announced the beginning of the holiday with their traditional noisy and colorful tour through the central streets of the city, which also marked the end of the active summer season of the motorcycle fraternity.
In the space of the parking lot, at the unique motorcycle exhibition, young and old could look at machines from the middle of the last century to samples – the latest in fashion and technology in the production of motorcycles, take pictures with them, and the most intrepid – raise the adrenaline and try wind in their face, riding several herds of horses at the same time.
For its part, the Regional History Museum showed the permanent archeological exhibition and the opportunity to immerse yourself in the past in each of the twelve halls of the Interactive Museum for free to all interested.
Special participants in the cultural program on the “Teatron” stage were talents from the three music schools in Razgrad: Jeanette-Marie Krasteva, Irem Ali and Tatiana Slavova from Svilena Decheva’s pop singing class at the Center for Work with Children, Dilyara Nazif with music pedagogue Detelina Todorova at the “Ilia Burnev” School of Music and Bozhidara Yaneva and Elitsa Gancheva, graduates of Andriyan Madzharov from the “Enjoy Music & Art School”.
After the children, the guys from the Shumen band took to the stage, who played solid rock for everyone’s enjoyment in the ancient Abritus.
The director of the museum Tyana Todorova and the publicist of “Ludogorski Brothers” Yordan Atanasov greeted the participants and guests of the celebration with a welcome at its beginning. Tanya Todorova wished the event to become traditional and even richer with many guests from near and far. On his own behalf and on behalf of his colleagues, Yordan Atanasov promised full support for the next editions of “Tradition of Speed”, because this is a good cause and an opportunity for fans of this type of experience as a gathering of hundreds of motorcyclists and their machines in one place to touch each other and to the values stored in the Regional History Museum, to the cultural and historical heritage of the native region.
“I wish you good health! Take care on the road, keep us on the road! Only in that case next year will we be able to gather here again and Tanya and I can say to you: “You are welcome again!”, Yordan Atanasov did not hide his emotions.
On the green areas in the immediate vicinity of the motorcycle exhibition, there was a trampoline on which those who wished could jump for pleasure, and the money collected from the attraction will be transferred to the account of 17-year-old Marty, who is fighting a serious rare oncological disease.
The museum recalls that at the beginning of the year, similar events were organized with the Club of Francophones, the regional branch beekeeping union “Ludogorska pchela 2022” and the club of local historians “Kraeznanie”. The formal occasion for today’s celebration was the closing of the museum’s active summer tourist season.
And in the motorcycle club created in 1998 with the name “Abritus”, and since 2002 – “Ludogorski brothers”, members are different in gender, occupation and social status, but all men and women in love with the wind, aged 33 to 60 years.
