THE EXHIBITION WILL BE ABLE TO BE SEEN FROM OCTOBER 12 – DAY OF THE BULGARIAN MUNICIPALITY, IN THE SPACE NEAR THE PANCHOOLU BRIDGE
The Regional History Museum offers Razgrad residents and guests a journey into the past of Razgrad. The open-air exhibition of the same name will be on view from Tuesday, October 12 – Day of the Bulgarian Municipality and Local Self-Government. The idea is for documentaries and photo stories to evoke pleasant memories and emotions in the elderly among us and to show children and young people what their parents, grandparents and great-grandparents have done and experienced…
In 24 boards, arranged on six double-sided panels in the area next to the Panchoolu Bridge / the bridge with the eagles /, 10 different topics from the life and way of life of Razgrad residents will be presented, as well as significant socio-economic and curious events in the capital of Ludogorie. The general thing is that in 2021 round anniversaries of them will be celebrated.
The first registered flood in Razgrad was 200 years ago and information about it is given by Ananie Yavashov. We will learn details and facts about another flood – from 1897, when bridges, buildings and roads were damaged. The biggest flood here has been documented with photos – since 1947. The victims then are 17, as many are missing, 300 houses have been demolished and 100 shops have been destroyed, and the citizens of Razgrad are losing furniture, goods, livestock, livelihood…
On September 1, 2021, the Sultan’s firman for the construction of the Ruse-Varna railway line turned 160 years old. The start was given three years later, and what was done under the leadership of Midhat Pasha revived Northeastern Bulgaria and provided a fast and secure connection with the Black Sea in one direction and Europe in the other. The railways carry freight, grain, mail and passengers. Midhat Pasha ordered 500 freight cars, 300 of them for grain / because of the area through which the railway runs in our country /. In the passenger cars at the beginning – because of the fear of the local population from the train, people were put on the train for free. There is also a special car for the sultan…
The panel is also dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the opening of the first laboratory in the Principality of Bulgaria, in which the smallpox vaccine was developed. The laboratory was in the Razgrad District Hospital and is managed by Dr. Boris Oaks.

The Dyanko Stefanov flat glass factory was opened 60 years ago. The first kiln was lit in December 1961, and in the exhibition we will see photos from the production halls, household porcelain and dishes with painted ceramics, of which there are still in many Razgrad homes…
The journey through the past of Razgrad on round anniversaries of 2021 ends with the opening of the then modern enterprise “Wholesale” for the supply of industrial and household goods and their provision to retail organizations. We will recall where it was and what the appliance store and souvenir and fabric store looked like, as well as the buildings and warehouses of the company that existed until 1999…

The Regional History Museum is a kind of host of the events for the Day of the Bulgarian Municipality and Local Self-Government. At 12.15 in front of the memorial plaque of the first mayor of Razgrad Georgi Popov on the wall of the Ethnographic Museum will be laid wreaths and flowers, and those who came to the ceremony will try white jam.
