The Regional History Museum – Razgrad will be open from April 1st during summer working hours: from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including Saturday and Sunday. The season will last until October 31, 2023. For group visits, a prior request will be required on tel.: 0879 81 67 38 and 0878 90 14 39.

The official opening will be in the Interactive Museum on the territory of the ancient “Abritus” on March 31 at 1:30 p.m. Animators will welcome the guests, before whom the seasonal program enriched for tourists will be presented.

Each visitor will be able to change into antique clothing and take a souvenir photo with the new self-portrait frame.

The museum specialists will also tell about the rest of the offers to tourists from near and far in “Abritus”: minting ancient coins and the unique opportunity to play one of the three board games from Antiquity and the Middle Ages – one of the new attractions in the Interactive Museum in Razgrad: Roman chess Rota, Checkers and Alkerk. The games were used to train the behavior and fighting skills of the Roman legionnaires.

And this year will continue, but enriched with the possibility to involve parents, the illustrated quiz “Play and learn with us”, in which the participants have to find where in the museum’s outdoor or indoor expositions the exhibit from the photo is located. The observant and those who listen carefully to the talks of the tour guides, in which there are references to the game, get to the answers first.

Puzzles with mosaics from the museum and with a photo of the Peristyle building /”Villa Urbana”/ can be arranged. The puzzles can also be bought as gifts for relatives and acquaintances with an invitation and they can visit the ancient “Abritus”.

Children from Razgrad and guests of the city during the summer vacation will be able to participate in the educational program “One day in Abritus” in the first three weeks of July. The unique content of the program aims to introduce the new little friends of the museum to the ancient past of Razgrad, to the life and culture of Abritus in a fun and interesting way. The program includes educational talks, films, creative games and quizzes that transport children to ancient Rome. As well as a photo with antique clothes as a souvenir of the Day in Abritus.

The museum specialists have prepared a multicolored surprise finale for their guests for the official opening of the summer tourist season on March 31 /Friday/. Start 1.30 p.m.
