The traveling exhibition “Traces of Disappearance” of “Velingrad ALCALIA” mineral water will be presented at the “Ananie Yavashov” House Museum in Razgrad on May 11 at 5:00 PM.
The unique exhibition displays realistic casts of footprints of endangered animals, painstakingly crafted from biomaterials and completely recreating their natural habitats. You can see prints of a brown bear, a bison, a wild horse, a wolf and a chamois, a mouflon, a fallow deer, a lynx, a peregrine falcon and a vulture.
The exhibition was visited by thousands of people in different cities in the country. The message is that more and more species such as the bison, wild horses and wolves are on the verge of extinction, and the pages of the Red Book of Bulgaria are slowly but surely increasing. Part of the reasons for the loss of biodiversity of the native mountains lies in the rapid development of infrastructure, which disrupts natural processes and harms the natural habitats of forest inhabitants.
History gives us many examples of how, within just a hundred years, animal species can be brought to the brink of extinction. From the exhibition, everyone will learn more about how to help protect endangered animals. “Traces of Extinction” has an important mission – to leave a trace of the disappearing animals in our minds.
