Exactly 449 children from all primary schools in Razgrad participated in the educational part of the exhibition “From Saint Nicholas to Santa Claus”. It was opened on the eve of Nicholas Day and has been open to visitors until today.

First fifth-graders from PS “N. Ikonomov” examined the panels and showcases in the exhibition. They were welcomed by the pedagogue at the Regional History Museum, Hristo Hristov, whose idea was to implement the educational program in the exhibition. He told them about the saint and his transformation into Santa Claus, as well as the traditions of Nicholas Day. And he led them on the adventure of catching a fish themselves and then coloring it. The children also had the opportunity to arrange a huge puzzle with the image of St. Nicholas.

Dozens of classes of girls and boys from this and all other elementary schools in Razgrad followed, as the program is aimed at students from the younger classes.

Children from PS “I. S. Turgenev” surprised their hosts with the red heart they made especially for the Christmas tree in the exhibition hall.

In Hristo Hristov’s endeavor, his colleagues from RHM-Razgrad helped him: the designer Mihail Marinov, the tour guide Polina Nedelcheva and the curator in the “Archaeology” department.
