The Deputy Mayor of Razgrad Municipality Milena Oreshkova was a guest at a celebration for the National Holiday March 3 at Iv.Sturgenev Primary School in Razgrad.
In front of the official guests and in front of their classmates, children from the third grades of the school performed Revival songs and poems on patriotic themes, and the young dancers from the folklore group with artistic director Yanislava Yankova presented folk dances.
Mrs. Oreshkova congratulated the students on the holiday and for the fact that with the help of their teachers they preserve the Bulgarian traditions and spirit, she wished them to continue to love their home school and hometown.
Challenge them as well: to learn the ode “Shipka’s Volunteers” by Ivan Vazov, there will be incentives for the best reciters in the school. Deputy Mayor Milena Oreshkova was the first to fulfill this challenge, memorizing Shipka’s Volunteers.
Deputy Mayor Milena Oreshkova presented the students with 100 Bulgarian flags to be flown on Vazrazhdane Square, where the citywide celebration of the National Holiday will take place. The curator of the Ethnographic Museum-Razgrad – Daniela Gancheva was also a guest of the celebration. She told the children about the traditions of the Sirni Zagovezni holiday, which was on Sunday.
The children from Iv.Sturgenev Primary School observed the Bulgarian custom and tied martenitsas for the health of their guests.
