The director of the Regional History Museum in Razgrad Tanya Todorova presented today the Special Award of the cultural institution to Danitsa Kostova from the Literary Club “Castalia” at ODK – Varna.

The award is in the section “Journalism” in the Tenth Jubilee National Student Journalism Competition “Grigor Popov”.

In addition to the diploma, Danitsa received a gift: a catalog with artifacts from the museum’s funds and the research of Acad. Ananie Yavashov collected in the book “Razgrad – its archaeological and historical past.”

The host of the ceremony for awarding the winners of the competition was the Regional History Museum – in the house museum “Stanka and Nikola Ikonomov”.

124 young authors and 47 teams participated in the 10th edition of the National Student Journalism Competition “Grigor Popov”, organized by the Center for Student Technical and Scientific Creativity and the Municipality of Razgrad.

The young journalists are trained in 60 educational institutions from 29 settlements in the following regional centers: Blagoevgrad, Burgas, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Vratsa, Gabrovo, Dobrich, Kardzhali, Kyustendil, Montana, Pazardzhik, Pernik, Pleven, Plovdiv, Razgrad, Ruse, Sliven, Smolyan, Sofia, Stara Zagora, Targovishte, Shumen.

The tenth edition of the Grigor Popov competition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the publication of the first issue of the “Razgradsko Slovo” newspaper, whose editor-in-chief is Grigor Popov.
