The exhibition “Magic created with threads” on the occasion of March 8 – International Women’s Day, was opened in the house-museum “Ananie Yavashov” in Razgrad. The invitation of the Regional History Museum in Razgrad was accepted by over 40 female tapestry masters. The exhibition can be seen until April 10.

The exhibition was opened by the director of the museum Tanya Todorova and Prof. Rositsa Angelova PhD, head of the “New and Latest History” department.

Tanya Todorova recalled that the idea was from last year, shared with her by Diana Dacheva, the main driver in the organization of the participants and wished a nice holiday to all the masters of tapestry sewing and the ladies who are guests of the house museum.

“It is difficult to list the names of all the ladies who create this art, but they deserve our respect and honor for their golden hands and big hearts. With this exhibition, we do that”, said Prof. Rositsa Angelova PhD.

She introduced Diana Dacheva as “the woman who gathers and unites the lovers and admirers of tapestry in Razgrad and as the woman who gave her support to make the exhibition possible.”

Diana Dacheva herself shared that she has been sewing tapestries for more than 30 years, that for her the hobby has turned into a profession, and her and her colleagues’ clients have become friends.

The special guest of the exhibition, deputy mayor Zornitsa Evgenieva, addressed everyone involved in tapestry on her own behalf and on behalf of the management of the Municipality of Razgrad.

After her, so did the second graders from Primary School “N. Y. Vaptsarov” with class teacher Svetla Nikolova, who also have their own corner in the “Ananie Yavashov” house museum.
