What connects Virginia Stankova – lawyer, head of the “Public Procurement” department and Adrian Atanasov – head of the “Administrative, Information and Technical Services” Directorate in Razgrad Municipality? Besides being in high positions in the local administration, they have their passion outside of their professional duties. Both are connoisseurs of old things. And when Adrian was cleaning the attic of the apartment building where he lives and found three cardboard suitcases from the sixties of the last century, he decided to give them to Virginia, knowing about her hobby. And when she opened them, she found an old school bag with a notebook, textbooks, study aids and notebooks.

Recently, Virginia Stankova was also approached by Nina Ivanova – director of the “Zvezdici” Children’s Nursery, who offered to give her two accordions, a cassette player, a gramophone, speakers and dozens of gramophone records, which were scrapped and removed from a room that was already used for other needs of the little ones in the playhouse.

Collecting so many items of historical value in one place, Virginia Stankova and Adrian Atanasov decided to make them available to the public by donating them to the Regional History Museum with the wish that “the journey of the items continues”. All of these items are now part of the collection of the “Recent History” department of the museum. When they were handed over, they received from RHM-Razgrad director Tanya Todorova a certificate of donation and advertising materials of the museum.

People who know Virginia Stankova know about her and that she is actively involved in various causes for the benefit of both individuals and society.

And the IT specialist Adrian Atanasov is also an Aikido instructor, who showed the secrets of the martial art of self-defense, but also a way of spiritual and physical self-improvement to hundreds of children from Razgrad.
