Four well-known football players from PFC “Ludogorets” visited the Archaeological Reserve “Abritus”, where they took part in a photo shoot promoting the team’s new kit for the 2026/27 season.
Midfielder Ivaylo Chochev, defender Francisco Gómez – Son, goalkeeper Hendrik Bonmann, and winger Caio Vidal were welcomed and accompanied at Abritus by Slavyana Yankova – Tsoneva from the “Administrative and Economic” Department of the Regional History Museum.
The photo shoot took place at Villa “Urbana”, where the magical atmosphere of the ancient Roman city is most strongly felt. The campaign presents the new kits, which are inspired by history and created for the future, as emphasized in the presentation on the football club’s Facebook page.
The ornament featured on two of the kits is inspired by a stone slab discovered in the ancient Roman city of Abritus, which is housed in the Archaeological Museum in Razgrad. The third kit also incorporates elements from the Roman period of Abritus. Alongside the design elements of the kits, the campaign also showcases the artefacts that inspired them. The back of each jersey bears a message to future generations from the ancient Roman poet Virgil: “Fortune favours the bold.”
The promotional photo shoot of a football club of the rank of “Ludogorets” in the area of the Regional History Museum in Razgrad is new evidence of the hard work of museum specialists in promoting the invaluable cultural heritage of the region.
