First-graders from “N.Y. Vaptsarov” were the first guests of the educational program of the Ethnographic Museum, dedicated to the spring holidays in the ritual calendar of the Bulgarians.
“Our idea is for the children to learn more about the life and customs of their ancestors – in this case the custom of “Lazaruvane”, says the ethnographer and deputy director of the Regional History Museum in Razgrad, Daniela Gancheva.

She, together with the “living human treasure” Nikolinka Angelova, told the children in detail about the holiday, changed the “kumichki”, played with them the buenek dance typical of going around the houses in the village and gifted them with white raw eggs with the word to paint them on the eve of Easter.

There was a special quiz for the boys in the group. And for everyone who participated in the outdoor lesson, and a magic silver coin, for health and luck.
The educational program will continue on Wednesday and Friday with children from other schools in Razgrad.
