The Director of the Regional History Museum, Tanya Todorova and the Head of the Administrative Department at the museum Kalina Karbasheva laid flowers in front of the monument to Vasil Levski at the ceremony marking the 152nd anniversary of his hanging.

The anniversary celebration in the courtyard of the school named after the Apostle of Freedom began with a group recitation of Hristo Botev’s poem “The Hanging of Vasil Levski”. The invitation came from the student representative body at the “Vasil Levski” Primary School and all officials and guests of the city-wide event joined in the recitation.

Speeches were delivered to the gathered crowd by the school principal Neli Stoyanova and the deputy mayor of Razgrad Elka Nedelcheva.

Wreaths and flowers were presented by representatives of local government, state institutions, political forces, public organizations, cultural institutions, educational institutions and citizens.
