On July 18, a solemn celebration of the 189th anniversary of the birth of Vasil Levski took place in Razgrad in front of the monument to the national hero at the school of the same name. Representatives of the Regional History Museum – Razgrad Neno Yakimov, curator of the house-museum “Ananie Yavashov” and Slavena Stefanova – tour guide, participated in the solemn celebration.

The principal of the “Vasil Levski” Primary School, Nelly Stoyanova, delivered a speech to the attendees. She recalled the Apostle’s testaments – Levski’s most important lesson is that true strength is proven not by words, but by deeds. The celebration continued with a poetic and musical composition dedicated to the patron saint of the school. Poems and songs about Vasil Levski were performed by students.

A festive ritual of laying wreaths and flowers in front of the monument to Vasil Levski by institutions, deputies, and organizations also took place. Representatives of the Regional History Museum Neno Yakimov and Slavena Stefanova laid bouquets in front of the monument and bowed before the monument to the Apostle, as a sign of gratitude for his great work.
