ON NOVEMBER 9 AND 10, RESIDENTS AND GUESTS OF THE CITY WILL HAVE THE UNIQUE CHANCE TO SEE THE GOLDEN PEGASUS AND THE BIGGEST GOLD TREASURE FROM THE LATE ANTIQUITY PERIOD IN BULGARIA

Several festive events are organized on November 9 and 10 by the Regional History Museum on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of the museum work in Razgrad.

At 10:00 a.m. on November 9, wreaths and flowers will be placed in front of the tombstone of Academician Ananie Yavashov at the chapel “St. George” in the old cemetery park. On the initiative of the Museum Council and with the assistance of Razgrad Municipality in the person of Deputy Mayor Dobrin Dobrev, the grave has already been cleaned and decorated.

And for two days /November 9 and 10/ from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., residents and guests of Razgrad will have the unique chance to view the largest gold treasure from the Late Antiquity period in Bulgaria and the Golden Pegasus, which will be exhibited in the museum.

At 1:00 p.m., the director of RHM – Razgrad, Tanya Todorova, will open the National Scientific Conference “100 Years of Archaeological Society – Razgrad”. In the conference hall of the Interactive Museum, representatives of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Shumen University “Bishop Konstantin Preslavski”, Veliko Tarnovo University “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”, Thrace University, museums in Razgrad, Dobrich, Varna, Silistra, Veliko Tarnovo, Stara Zagora, Isperih, Popovo, Omurtag, Nova Zagora, etc. Moderators are Prof. Dr. Stella Doncheva from Shumen University “Bishop Konstantin Preslavski”, Prof. Dr. Rositsa Angelova from RHM – Razgrad and Prof. Dr. Georgi Atanasov from RHM – Silistra.
