An icon of a Russian warrior saint with a silver-gilt fitting – a gift to the citizens of Razgrad from Russian senior military personnel on the occasion of the anniversary of the city’s liberation; flintlock pistol; a dagger with a black bone handle, encased in silver and a Turkish scimitar are the exhibits included by the fund of RHM – Razgrad in the general exhibition for the Third of March, jointly organized by the regional administrations in Razgrad and Targovishte.

The exhibition, dedicated to the National Day of the Republic of Bulgaria, will be arranged on the seventh floor in the lobby of the regional administration in Razgrad, the official opening is on February 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., descendants of militiamen from Razgrad are also invited.

Archive materials and artifacts for it have also been provided by the State Archives – Razgrad, Art Gallery “Prof. Iliya Petrov” – Razgrad, State Archive – Targovishte, Regional Library “Peter Stupov” – Targovishte, Regional History Museum – Targovishte and Art Gallery “Nikola Marinov” – Targovishte.

The exposition includes a panel with old photographs and documents related to the Liberation of Razgrad, copies of engravings depicting the battles for the Liberation of Targovishte and a portrait of the militiaman Grandpa Gero, provided by the Razgrad Art Gallery.

The exhibition will be open until March 7, 2024, and its visit will be organized by groups of students from Razgrad schools.
