On July 10, children participating in the program for environmental education of adolescents “Ekolyato 2026” in Razgrad, together with their teachers, visited a site of historical significance in the city – the house museum “Stanka and Nikola Ikonomovi”.

The event was part of the first shift of “Ekolyato 2026”. The purpose of the visit was to volunteer and with their activities contribute to the preservation of the house-museum, as well as to gain knowledge about this Razgrad landmark.
The Director of the Regional History Museum, Tanya Todorova, welcomed the participants in “Ekolyato” and presented them with interesting information about the Stanka and Nikola Ikonomovi House Museum. Then, they painted the wooden parts of the fence of the house museum, working with a safe varnish that preserves the wood well. They learned in practice how this activity is carried out, what are the requirements for the painted object to become beautiful, and what rules apply when working with paint and a brush.

The participants in “Ekolyato 2026” also cleaned the yard of the house museum. Children from the next shift of “Ekolyato” will finish refreshing the fence and the area.
