The creative mother-daughter tandem: Boyana Ilieva – writer, and Radina Rosenova – artist, descendants of Georgi Benkovski, presented their creative projects in their native Razgrad.
“After more than two decades, they are both among us again”, said the head of the “New and Recent History” department at the Regional History Museum in Razgrad, Prof. Rositsa Angelova PhD, at the opening of the meeting at the Ethnographic Museum.
“Today is a very special day. A total of 25 years of my life passed away from my homeland, and in 2020 we decided to return because the blood called and for five years now our activities have been aimed at the return of the identity, self-esteem and pride of this people.

When you come back to the ground, to the roots, when you see your loved ones, classmates, people you grew up with, the feeling is very special. I hug you and bow down to you”, Boyana Ilieva.
Together with her daughter Radina Rosenova, they spoke about the richness of Bulgarian colors and embroideries, ancient Bulgarian symbols, and their mission to spread them and make them increasingly recognizable among young people.
They also presented the book “Thirst”, written by Boyana Ilieva and illustrated by her daughter Radina.

The creative tandem is also the creator of the ROD® – GENUS® Collection brand, dedicated to the interpretation and dissemination of ancient Bulgarian symbols and embroideries, which they weave into interior, exterior, fashion design and the design of luxury gold jewelry.
Radina Rosenova is also the author of the collection “Rod”, which contains 28 paintings with authentic Bulgarian embroideries from every region of Bulgaria.
Another of their initiatives is “Find a Family for Christmas,” which brings together children and adults from social homes, with the goal of these meetings happening monthly.
