An exhibition of tapestries under the title “Magic created with threads” was prepared jointly by the Regional History Museum, with the support of Mrs. Diana Dacheva – leader of the Razgrad tapestry masters and organizer of events with their participation.
The exhibition will be opened on June 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the house-museum “Ananie Yavashov” on “Venelin” Street in Razgrad. It will present 30 tapestry masters from Razgrad with their works, announced Ms. Dacheva. 70 works on various themes will be presented – landscapes, flora, fauna, female images. Previously unseen works by Razgrad tapestry masters will be exhibited. The current exhibition has a greater presence of Razgrad tapestries. Some of the tapestries in the exhibition are quite voluminous, impressive specimens.
The poster with which the Regional History Museum invites the residents of Razgrad to enjoy the exhibition depicts the tapestry “Mexican Woman”, made over a year by the famous craftswoman Ilka Gancheva. Also participating with several tapestries are the history teacher Margarita Stoyanova, Stefka Dyakova, Stoyka Izvorova, Evgeniya Belcheva, Ginka Gocheva, and Margarita Stefanova.
Making tapestries is extremely labor-intensive, not a superficial hobby, it requires great perseverance, thoroughness, artistic taste, exceptional skills in the art of embroidery, emphasized Mrs. Dacheva. It is a joyful fact that there are now companies that offer a wide variety of models, including those based on paintings by Vladimir Dimitrov – The Master, which significantly enriches the opportunities for interesting exhibitions of works. A famous designer who develops tapestries based on paintings is Ani Yovcheva. The exhibition will appropriately reflect which works are based on her design. Tapestry made from paintings is more difficult to perform, but very beautiful, and is evident in the drawing of the details.
In Razgrad, an exhibition of tapestries is being exhibited for the second time in the Ananie Yavashov House Museum, emphasized Ms. Dacheva, and before that the event also took place in the Ritual House.
