All those who participated in the Regional Review Selection for the XIII National Festival of Bulgarian Folklore “Koprivshtitsa – 2025” from Razgrad region were approved to participate in the most important event of the year in the field of folklore in our country from August 8 to 10.
The selection is organized under the patronage of the regional governor Vladimir Dimitrov. 29 formations and individual performers participated. They were evaluated by an expert jury consisting of: Milen Minchev – curator at the Ethnographic Museum at the Regional Historical Museum – Razgrad, Desislava Tiholova – ethnographer, choreographer, curator at the “Ethnography” Department of the RHM – Ruse and Zdravko Vutov – choreographer, head of the “Education, Culture, Social Activities and Technical Services” Department in the Kubrat Municipality. The specialists gave them recommendations for correcting certain elements in the performances that would help them perform better in Koprivshtitsa.
The regional selection took place during the Fifth Edition of the Festival “Chitalishta – the Living Heritage of Bulgaria”, dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the emergence of the national community center work and is part of a nationwide initiative under the patronage of President Rumen Radev. The festival provides a stage for performance and is a kind of review of amateur groups and performers from the entire Razgrad region. 65 groups and 24 individual performers from 64 of the total 105 community centers in Razgrad region participated in it.
