Specialists and sites of the Regional History Museum will have a major role in the upcoming June 23 and 24 traditional festival of tangible and intangible cultural heritage “White Nights of Razgrad”, organized by the Municipality of Razgrad.
At 7.30 pm on June 23 in the house-museum “Stanka and Nikola Ikonomov” begins the presentation of the latest book by one of the most popular contemporary authors in the country Neda Antonova “Women in Bulgarian History”. The title of the evening is “The Strong Women in the History and Spiritual Life of Bulgarians”, and the symbolic host of the event is the Regional Library “Prof. Boyan Penev “.
At 8.30 pm the festival continues in the house-museum “Ananie Yavashov” with a symbolic host community center “Razvitie”. There will be several epochs. Visitors will be able to see the exhibition of finds “Flint Workshop and Necropolis from the village of Kamenovo”, a multimedia presentation of cultural highlights from the life of old Razgrad and the role of Ananie Yavashov in it. And the actors from the Youth Ensemble for the Impulse Theater will present the premiere of the play “The Dragons” by Yordan Radichkov.
The Kapan ensemble hosts the Ethnographic Museum. At 9.30 pm begin “Enyovo traditions and names”: the rite “Enyova bulya” and “Bolna Yana” – a dance that recreates a ritual. It will be held under the Enyov wreath, and there will be a bunch of herbs for everyone to pick on Enyovden.
The first of “White Nights of Razgrad” ends with dances and songs in the yard of the house-museum “Dimitar Nenov”. The symbolic host is the Theater and Music Center. At this place every year to present a country whose culture has left its mark on the development of Bulgarian traditions and culture. The whole topic is “Turkish folklore in the cultural and spiritual heritage of Razgrad”. The program starts at 10.30 pm
Archaeological finds in the village of Kamenovo mark the beginning of the second of the “White Nights of Razgrad”. For the first time on the first floor of the Interactive Museum will be exhibited a skeleton of our “citizen” from 7,000 years ago. It was discovered in 2016 during excavations carried out for several years in this area by archaeologists from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the museums in Razgrad and Ruse.
On the second floor of the Interactive Museum in ancient Abritus, visitors will be able to see the Borovo treasure from the 4th century BC. The exposition of the Regional Historical Museum in Ruse is visiting Razgrad only on this day. The treasure is Thracian, includes 5 beautiful silver vessels with gilding – three rhytons, a jug of rhyton and a spilled bowl. The museum will be open for visits from 7.30 pm to 9 pm
The awarding of the winner of the first National Literary Drama Competition “Anton Strashimirov” will take place in Villa Urbana at 9.30 pm. Immediately after this ceremony is the dance performance of the Ensemble “Chinari” “Mystical Rhythm”.
