The father-in-law of Dragomir Zlatev – former regional governor, Yordan Pretrov Strandjev donated a panoramic photo of Razgrad and family photos to the Regional History Museum.

Yordan Strangev was born on September 11, 1940. According to him, on this date the “aklliya” /smart ones/ were born. He graduated from high school, then worked at the Antibiotic factory, then graduated from the Construction Technical College in Ruse and worked until his retirement as a construction technician at the Agricultural Design Organization in Razgrad.

His father Petar Vassilev Strangev was born in 1912. He was an artist in the Veliko Tarnovo Theater. And his mother – Ginka Ivanova Fileva – in 1922 was a seamstress.

Yordan Strandjev donated to the museum a photo from 1950 – a moment of the participation of the workers in the sewing cooperative in the March 8 demonstration. In the photo, Ginka Fileva /far left/ is wearing the dress with the buttons.

The second is a general photo of neighbors in the “Keremedchelika” neighborhood and is from 1955/56. In this photo, Ginka Fileva is in the middle – again the woman in the button-up dress.

A third photo was taken from the minaret of the mosque. The museum has a similar shot, but taken ten years earlier. And the germs of this photo wonderfully complement the fund in the “Recent History” department.

Yordan Strangev was with his wife. The family received a certificate for the donation and symbolic gifts from the director of RHM – Razgrad Tanya Todorova.
