The museum-educational program “From Egypt… to Scandinavia” will be held at the Ethnographic Museum from November 4 to 15.
“Four of the most interesting civilizations and cultures in the world will be presented in the program: Egyptian, Greek, Roman and Scandinavian. The goal is to enrich the children’s historical culture in an interesting and fun way and open the door to the ancient past for them to get to know different peoples”, raises the curtain the author of the original initiative – the pedagogue at the Regional History Museum Hristo Hristov.
Children will learn many interesting facts about the people who inhabited these lands in the past, their way of life, culture, beliefs, gods, as well as what they contributed to the development of the world until today. During the program, each child will have the opportunity to try different antique board games played by their peers in the past. They will solve puzzles, take pictures with Egyptians and Vikings and learn facts that are not in the history books, such as: who were the first discoverers of America, how the Romans ruled their empire for so long, why the largest pyramid in Giza is called “Cheops” and where the modern technology “Bluetooth” originated from. These are just some of the curious questions, games and surprises that await them.
To participate, a prior request is required by phone: 0893 77 51 24. Entrance fee is 2 leva per participant.
