From June 29 to July 17, the Regional History Museum – Razgrad will once again welcome dozens of little explorers, ready to embark on an exciting journey back in time, as part of the now traditional museum-educational program in the summer.
For three weeks, children will have the opportunity to experience the rich cultural and historical heritage of ancient Abritus through a variety of thematic activities, educational talks, creative workshops, ateliers, sports and competitive and board games.
How did the Romans live? What games did children play in antiquity? The participants will discover the answers to these and many more questions for themselves through interactive activities and practical activities. Each day is thematically oriented. Children will learn many interesting things about Ancient Rome. The program includes topics about the Golden Coin Treasure, theater, music, and writing in Ancient Rome. Roman architecture also has its place in the program, as well as trade and the world of slaves. The spectacles of the Roman Empire are also of interest, about which participants in the program will also receive information. Some of the topics relate to the borders of the Roman Empire, its military power, and, of course, Roman fashion and clothing. The Battle of Abritus in 251 AD is one of the topics in the program, as well as the making of combat clothing and the Roman Legion.
The topic of mosaics in Ancient Rome will remind program participants that the Romans highly valued beauty. Children will also learn interesting things about the gods of Ancient Rome.
Over the past few years, the program has established itself as one of the most preferred summer activities for children in Razgrad, and those who have gone through it return again and again to experience new adventures and meet old friends.
