On September 30, 2026, archaeological fieldwork will begin at the administrative and exhibition building of the Regional History Museum – Razgrad, located at 70 Aprilsko Vastanie Blvd.

They are part of the preparations for the renovation of the museum building under Razgrad Municipality project No. BG16FFPR003-2.006-0079-C01, “Along the Beli Lom River,” specifically the activity: “Preservation and development of cultural heritage through structural reinforcement, the implementation of energy-efficiency measures, and the vertical extension of the administrative and exhibition building of the Regional History Museum – Razgrad”.

Archaeological excavations will be conducted in accordance with the Ministry of Culture’s position requiring a rescue archaeological field survey in the areas of the planned new construction around the building, in order to determine the presence or absence of archaeological structures.

The investigations will temporarily make it difficult to visit the exhibition in the museum building, but the Interactive Museum and the Architectural Reserve will operate with their normal opening hours for the season (09:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.). Municipality of Razgrad and RHM – Razgrad apologize to the visitors for the inconvenience caused and thank them for their understanding. In case of changes in access, visitors will be notified promptly.
